Imaging Center

Full-Service Diagnostic Imaging

image center

University Imaging Center is equipped with two MRI scanners - The Fonar Upright MRI and a G.E. High-Field 1.5T MRI - as well as a full complement of other diagnostic equipment. The unique physical configuration of the Upright MRI makes it the world's most Patient Friendly MRI - The Upright MRI is also the only MRI that can scan patients in any position, (sitting, standing, etc.) allowing it to detect certain problems that would be underestimated or completely missed while laying down in any other type of MRI.

The Upright MRI is a perfect complement to the High-Field 1.5T G.E. MRI, the combination of the two providing patients with the “Best of Both Worlds.”
